Stay at the heart of the Falun World Heritage Site
Polhem Bed & Breakfast dates back to the 1700s. Our rooms are named after engineers, royals and other historical celebrities who have been at the mine over the centuries. Polhem Bed & Breakfast has seven rooms – doubles and family rooms, some with a view out over The Great Open Pit.
Covid-19 and infection prevention
In order to minimize the risk of Covid-19 infection we provide extra cleaning in the whole building. Breakfast is served in special bags. There is hand sanitiser at several points for our guests.
Choose among seven rooms, each with an interior design linked to the building’s long history: five double rooms and two family rooms, all with 18th century-style wooden floors and wallpaper patterns. The rooms have been named after famous konstmästare (“craft-masters”) as the chief engineers at the mine were known, and after royal personages who have visited the mine.
