Stay at the heart of the Falun World Heritage Site
Polhem Bed & Breakfast dates back to the 1700s. Our rooms are named after engineers, royals and other historical celebrities who have been at the mine over the centuries. Polhem Bed & Breakfast has seven rooms – doubles and family rooms, some with a view out over The Great Open Pit.
Historical rooms
Choose among seven rooms, each with an interior design linked to the building’s long history: five double rooms and two family rooms, all with 18th century-style wooden floors and wallpaper patterns. The rooms have been named after famous konstmästare (“craft-masters”) as the chief engineers at the mine were known, and after royal personages who have visited the mine.
